Village Hall
Sunday 3rd October
2.00 – 4.30pm

The DiB team of Liz, Jean, Pauline and Hamish have done an amazing job in maintaining the flower beds and planters around the village, culminating in the achievement of the Beautiful Fife Gold Award. Things move on, however. Hamish has stood down from the group while Liz, Jean and Pauline are winding down their involvement.

We need to look at a new way of keeping all the beds and planters ship shape. The Community Association has proposed a model which puts more emphasis on wider community involvement, and a number of villagers of all ages have already volunteered to take responsibility for a bed or a tub or the herb garden planters. We are looking to expand this so that all the existing garden areas are ‘adopted’

The Open Day is an opportunity to find out how the new model will work, find out what would be involved, and hopefully sign up as a volunteer. So if you are aged between 5 and 95, know roughly what a flower is and would like to see our village continue to look as beautiful as it has in the past then come along for a chat.
